Tools for Visual Storytelling [DiL]
Storytelling is traditionally in the shape of the spoken word. The many inventions of the 20th and 21h century have made it possible to enrich our stories with a visual aspect.
Contents:
In this seminar you will be given an introduction to how to prepare your story for the translation to the optical medium. There are many ways to visualize your story, from live-action video and animation to stop motion or screencasts. We will have a look at different techniques and what the pros and cons are to each one.
Then we will introduce you to a range of user friendly software you can use to transfer your story into a multimedial story.

You will learn:
- How to translate a story to a visual medium
- What methods you can use for visualisations
- To pick the right style for your story
- Learn about tools that ease the process of visualisation
