English Communication Strategies for University Lecturers
Suitable for:
The course is designed for those who have an intermediate to high-intermediate knowledge of English and who wish to improve their speaking skills. It meets the diverse English language needs of participants in a variety of academic and social situations.
Content:
It is a multi-skills course geared to develop the overall communication skills of academic teachers. However, part of the course will focus on specific English communication strategies that will enable participants to interact with students in the classroom more effectively, while another segment will concentrate on developing general English speaking skills.
Methods:
Communication skills will be developed through communicative activities, which will include small-group discussions on a wide range of topics, presentation skills, pronunciation practice, selected grammar exercises and vocabulary practice.
