Since early 2004, the KU has been participating in the Bavarian activities network for professional development programs in didactics for teachers and in particular for early-career researchers at universities. The KU initially entered the “Profilehre” program, meanwhile it is an associated partner in the ProfiLehrePlus program.

While the range of courses offered at the KU is less comprehensive compared to larger universities due to the smaller number of lecturers, it still covers all areas of the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities.

In 2011, the KU has concluded an agreement with the Ingolstadt educational center for universities of applied sciences (Didaktikzentrum (DIZ) der Hochschulen für angewandte Wissenschaften) which enables members of both KU Fachhochschule faculties to participate in courses offered by the DIZ.
